1) Comment on Selection forces “Suggestion” mode

Steps to reproduce

1. Select any text.

2. Click Add comment.

Actual

• The editor switches to Suggestion mode even when there are no suggestions and no Accept/Reject controls.

• No comment gets added to the selection.

Expected

• A comment is attached to the selected range.

• Suggestion mode should not be enabled unless a suggestion is created.

2) “Fix grammar” doesn’t run on selection

Steps to reproduce

1. Select any text.

2. Click Fix grammar.

Actual

• Nothing happens.

Expected

• The selected text is rewritten with grammar fixes (or an error is shown if the request fails).

3) “Make more casual” ignores selection and inserts a new paragraph

Steps to reproduce

1. Select a single word (e.g., “buggy”).

2. Click Make more casual.

Actual

• A new paragraph is inserted elsewhere.

• The selected word is unchanged.

Expected

• The selected text is edited in place, respecting the current selection boundaries.

4) “Ideas” UX: long spinner, delayed notebook creation, no feedback

Steps to reproduce

1. Click Ideas.

Actual

• A loading spinner appears for a long time.

• No immediate confirmation that a notebook is being created.

• Only after waiting does a notebook appear.

• If I was Inside the other notebook, there’s no clear indicator that new notebook was created from the Ideas click.

Expected

• Immediate feedback (e.g., “Creating notebook…” toast/inline status).

• Streaming content notebook?
